When a building has been damaged by water, fire or flood, the priority is to make it safe and get it back into use as quickly as possible. Vision Contracts delivers the reinstatement works needed to return the property to its pre-loss condition. We work on schools, student accommodation and commercial buildings, where minimising disruption to occupants matters as much as the quality of the repair. Our in-house fabric engineers carry out the works, supported by approved specialist contractors where required.

Emergency response: We attend urgently, 24 hours a day, to make the building safe, stop further damage, strip out affected materials and begin drying.
Drying and moisture monitoring: We dry the structure and monitor moisture readings so that finishes are not reinstated until the building is ready.
Surveys and scopes of works: We inspect the damage and prepare a detailed scope of works and costings for the reinstatement. These are provided to the loss adjuster, loss assessor or client for review and agreement.
Reinstatement works: We carry out all trades under one contract, including plastering, joinery, flooring, decorating, fire doors and M&E, so the client deals with one contractor throughout.
Programme management: We plan the works around the building's use, such as school terms and student occupancy, and keep the client updated with a single point of contact for the works and regular progress reports.
Quality and compliance: All works are completed to a high standard, with fire-rated elements reinstated to the correct specification, and we provide the photographs, reports and handover documentation needed to close out the works.
Flood resilience: For buildings that have flooded before, we install measures to reduce the risk and impact of future flooding, such as flood barriers, sealing and resilient finishes.

Vision Contracts is a building contractor. We do not handle, notify or negotiate insurance claims, and we are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to do so.
Where your works form part of an insurance claim, we work alongside whoever is managing the claim. That may be your insurer's loss adjuster, your own FCA-regulated loss assessor, or you directly. We provide the scope, costings and reports they need, and carry out the agreed works. If you would like an independent loss assessor to act for you, you are free to appoint any assessor you choose.
Specialist sector experience: We have extensive experience of reinstatement works in schools, student accommodation and commercial buildings, where tight programmes and live environments are the norm.
In-house capability: Our own fabric engineers carry out the works, backed by approved specialist contractors, which gives us control over quality and programme.
Experience with loss adjusters: We regularly work with loss adjusters, including on major and complex losses, and understand the reporting and cost information they need.
Clear communication: You get regular updates at every stage, a single point of contact for the works, and clear explanations of what is happening on site and why.
One contractor from start to finish: From emergency make-safe through to handover, one team is responsible for the works.
